Prep Training for Mission Transition

This is a training for educators who will have students attend Mission Transition(s) throughout the State in the spring. We will focus on what youth with disabilities need to know as they transition.

The following event is available to Maine Distance Learning Project ATM sites statewide ...

PCA Great Performances and the Maine Department of Education's Distance Learning Initiative collaborate to bring composer-violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) to learning communities throughout Maine, continuing PCA's commitment to statewide music education and advocacy. DBR will bring his popular and engaging lecture demonstration "What Music Might Mean" to students across Maine. With excerpts performed from his recent repertoire, this autobiographical lecture/demonstration illuminates his artistic inspiration and contextualizes his solo and collaborative projects. This presentation ties in with the PCA Offstage themed events Maine and its Ties to Africa. Sign up Now!

Wind, Waves, Fire & Ice, the Geology of Acadia National Park (posted 2/06/09)

Description:
Ranger Kate Petrie will present ATM broadcasts on coastal Maine geology, focusing on examples found in the Acadia National Park region. The program will include interactive demonstrations, a short slide show highlighting the geologic resources of our local National Park, and a question and answer session. All three sessions cover the same topic.

If you are going to be an interactive site, you will need a couple of cans of Play-doh, different colors.
